Our Mission: Helping Active Military and veterans overcome P.T.S.D. (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) through Recreational Therapy and providing a 24/7 suicide hotline. We will provide experiences to recreate the camaraderie and sense of purpose desired from military veterans while teaching them about Post Traumatic Growth
THE BATTLEIn the military you are told what to do, when to do it and for how long. You are taught respect, how to work as a team and brotherhood is beat into your head. Though some times it is a cluster F*$#; we have structure to our lives. Multiple deployments over seas, separation from family and the loss of a brother can weigh on the mental health of a veteran.
THE PROBLEMMany of our veterans suffer from PTSD and other mental illness. We lose our sense of purpose when we separate from the military, often feeling left out, depressed, and some times suicidal. We also lose our sense of brotherhood and we tend to seclude ourselves. Reintegration into civilian life is one of the toughest struggles veterans face today.
OUR PROPOSED SOLUTION Warriors Next Adventure has a theory; The key to improving mental health for veterans is recreating that sense of purpose and emulating the brotherhood we had while in the military. We need a mission and we need to know what's next. Through recreational therapy and linking up with fellow veterans, we get the same sense of accomplishment and brotherhood. Help us improve the lives of those who fought for our freedom.
